16 Habits of the Very Rich part 7

16 Habits of the Very Rich part 7

We are almost half-way through this series! Today, like yesterday, will be short. Mainly because today’s topic is one, I’ve discussed previously a lot! And taught by Reggie on a frequent basis. If you need help on this: I would encourage you to reach out to me directly. I will connect you to Reggie. He’s the best in this one!

Goal Setting! 67% of the wealthy do this vs 17% of the poor!

Why set goals? Here are some reasons:
1. It keeps you moving forward and motivated.
2. The bible suggests it! Proverbs 4:25-27 says “Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.”
3. It gives clear direction on what needs to happen for your life to be what you want.
4. It’s fun!

How do you set goals?
I have a specific strategy that I use that I learned from Reggie. But here are some of the components to it:
1. Decide what you want.
2. Write it down.
3. Make sure it’s SMART. Is it specific? Is it measurable? Is it attainable? Is it realistic? And is it time bound?
4. Create a dream board to keep you moving forward on it. For a refresher, here’s mine:

Blessing board 2

One of the things Reggie and I both believe in, and I learned this from him, is that until a dream board is created with images to motivate you toward reaching your specific goals your goal sheet is not completed.

Again, if you need help, reach out to me. I will help and get you connected to Reggie as well.

16 Habits of the VERY RICH! Part 2!

16 Habits of the VERY RICH! Part 2!

John and Nadya Melton taught me that 80% of the wealthy are focused on accomplishing some single goal! Only 12% of the poor do this!

Over the past 9 years of learning about how to get healthy I’ve read more books than I have ever read! Almost every single one I’ve read points to the power of focus! Here’s what David K. William said in his blog “15 Things Highly Focused People Don’t Do.” He is a publisher and entrepreneur who tries to help professionals grow their business and careers and gives advice for entrepreneurs.

1. They don’t gossip. They have better things to do with their time.
2. They don’t multitask. They focus on 1 or at the most 2 things at a time!
3. They don’t procrastinate! Get it done.
4. They don’t allow distractions to derail them. Reggie has told me to have work hours be work hours. And play hours be play hours. Don’t get distracted without a VERY good reason! For example: a fire, or a life-threatening issue.
5. They don’t seek validation from others. Know your self-worth. And learn to do things for yourself. There is a saying: “If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.” (Anonymous).
6. They don’t entertain disorganization. The most successful people I know are organized! And they know in advance what is coming. This prevents stress, increases creativity, and doesn’t cost time. Which is the most valuable commodity we have!
7. They don’t give silly excuses not to work. They don’t suffer from excusitis! Saying “I don’t have time for ____” (you fill in the blank).
8. They aren’t afraid to take a risk. Life is a risk, no one is guaranteed tomorrow.
9. They don’t dwell on the past. They accept the past and what happened and move on. “They simply accept what is, let go of what was and have faith in what could be.”
10. They don’t act rashly! “They stick to their goals and stay committed to their dreams through the sunny days and rainy days. “
11. They mind their own business. If it doesn’t affect them, they don’t get involved. This doesn’t mean they don’t care. But it can come across that way.
12. They don’t compare themselves to others. They are content with who they are.
13. They don’t have unrealistic expectations. Life isn’t always smooth. And changes happen. They realize this and adapt when needed.
14. They say “NO” when needed! And they are not people pleasers. They say no to things that get them distracted to things that are not a priority. A sick child is a priority, so is getting a business launched or going to a higher level.
15. Finally, they don’t quit! They realize that things get tough. And accept it. They will take a break, but not quit!

“If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you.” (Anonymous).

Lessons from Reggie: Think and Grow Rich Today

Lessons from Reggie: Think and Grow Rich Today

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, the name Dr. Reggie Cochran has come up. He’s one of the best friends I’ve ever had. So, I’m doing a series as to why focusing on what he’s taught me over the years.

One of the 1st lessons from Reggie came from a book he was in. It’s called Think and Grow Rich Today. This book has been a must read of mine for 6 years now. And I tell everyone to read it. Reggie wrote chapter 18, titled “THINK AND GROW RICH IN ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE.” From the beginning of the chapter, you realize that he’s compassionate! And EXTREMELY successful. Here’s part of what’s included in this:

“This book is not about me. So, I will not go into all the ways Think and Grow Rich changed my life. But I will share this… they helped me to go from what people called “poor trailer trash” who was picked on as a kid for being fat and dropped out of high school… to become a world champion martial artist with advanced degrees in Christian counseling and clinical hypnotherapy. This led to a career as a mental skills / business coach to many internationally known celebrities, athletes and business professionals. Napoleon’s teaching has further helped me in becoming a keynote speaker and Best-Selling author who has co-authored books with Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn and Zig Ziglar to name a few.”

One of the things that Reggie has worked with me on is that where the head goes the body follows. I am blessed to be one of Reggie’s mental skills and business clients. So, one of the things that he has spent the most time with me on is mental skills, and more recently business skills. I am a martial arts student, but currently Reggie is not my sensei. However, that is going to change soon because when he releases a new program, I am investing in it. I’ll be talking about that in an upcoming blog post when its released. For years I played the “blame game” on why my life sucked! It was everyone’s fault but mine. It’s when Reggie called me out on that (more than once) it changed. In 2013 through 2016 I was NOT coachable or teachable. But Reggie saw that I was making progress. And that’s why I didn’t lose him from my life. And it’s why I now have him as my leader, coach, friend and in many ways: family.

I realized that my success isn’t dependent on anyone but my own actions.
This applies to everyone. And also, to every part of life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Until full responsibility is taken, NOTHING will change. And any coaching from anyone won’t last. It wasn’t until I took this step that things began to change. Now, here’s a success tip: take what I’ve just said and put it to use. If I had done this sooner, I would be MUCH further along on my journey than I currently am. 😊

What is the difference between being coachable and teachable? I had to learn this. You can learn information. That is being teachable. But being coachable is different. Having knowledge is great! But using it is totally different. Taking information and learning to apply it in practical ways takes being coachable.

In October and November of 2019, I did some soul searching to decide what I wanted my life to look like going forward. And make some drastic changes in my life. This goes into the next step that Reggie does with his clients. Determine the goals they want. And write down in as much detail as possible WHY I wanted to accomplish each goal. One thing I’ve done is to get HYPER-FOCUSED. Meaning EVERY single goal, I have is connected to the other goals. I have goals in business and in my personal life. But for success to be achieved in 1 area, it has to be achieved in the other. Reggie taught me in that chapter “The more emotion attached to that goal, the greater chance of accomplishing it. I want them to be able to read “why” on a daily basis.” By having my goals tied into each other, I’m attaching emotion to it. I’m pursuing what Reggie calls the “Lavalicious Lifestyle.” This is simply a lifestyle that allows me to work and play on my terms.

My daily actions are a critical component to what I’m pursuing. I have certain things I have to do each day, week, and month to get what I want faster than I have. But, along the way: I have rewards lined up. Things as simple as a drink from a local coffee shop to a cruise later this year. Plus, blessing others in HUGE ways. To me: that is a reward! I love blessing others! It’s fun!

Next, accountability partners. Studies have shown that having an accountability partner increases the odds of success in MASSIVE ways. I’ve used Reggie as my accountability partner, kind of at first inadvertently, but now on purpose for years. And that leads to my final point on today’s post. Having an accountability partner is critical! Without one: the odds of being successful are SLIM. Reggie said this in his chapter: “This is someone that they are going to share their activities and results with on a regular basis.” Having Reggie as my accountability partner doesn’t mean that he “micromanages” every part of my life. But it does mean that he has “permission” to call me out when I’m not doing what I need to do. An accountability partner needs to be able to keep secrets and be supportive. Reggie also said “And you don’t want someone who is going to kick you while you are down and give you 100 reasons why you are not going to accomplish your goals. So, there has to be a lot of thought and consideration going into picking a great accountability partner.”

Reggie also said this within this chapter. And it’s worth sharing.

“See It: – I teach them how to visualize the outcome of their goals. To visually meditate in as much detail as possible their lifestyle – once they accomplish their goals.

Say It: – I help them write down positive affirmations that they will see and say, several times a day. I even encourage them to record themselves reading those affirmations so they can listen to them as much as possible. yes, I could do a recording for them in my voice and make more money for the service. But, without going into why, there is more power to your affirmations when you hear them in your own voice.

Be It: – Then I have them commit in writing to me and to their accountability partner, that they are going to follow through with their plan, no matter what it takes, for as long as it takes. They are not going to stop “three feet from gold.””

Let’s talk about coaching!

Let’s talk about coaching!

(And how you decide to become successful or continue to be unsuccessful).

Happy New Year! It’s 2020!!!! One of the things I love about network marketing, and in fact the reason I won’t ever quit was because of leaders such as Dr. Reggie Cochran, Danielle Martin, Tony & Sarah Zolecki, Brad Szollose, John & Nadya Melton, Ray & Jessica Higdon, Big Al Schreiter, David Holis and Bob Goshen is because of this quote by Big Al: “Self-image and confidence comes from within. For decades, network marketing leaders have guided people to motivational books, positive attitude seminars, and personal development CDs.” The leaders I’ve listed are in no particular order. All of them I’m blessed to call my friends.

When I became friends with Reggie in 2013, I had no idea how much growth I had to go through to see my life get better. Hindsight I now see that it was a lot. But! It’s been worth it! Network marketing has changed my life. And it’s not about the money. For years I didn’t make any money! But it was because I had to rebuild my life from the inside out.

So, where do you start? One of the things I did was get effective coaches. These people are my coaches. On my post yesterday I talked about how important coaches/advisors. Danielle said, “never trust a coach who doesn’t have a coach.” And Reggie said, “at this time, I have 3 different coaches that are helping me in 3 different areas of my business.” Danielle is 1 of Reggie’s students. Just as I am. Proverbs 20:18 says “plans are firmed up by advice”.

Coaches help shorten the learning curve. If you really want 2020 to be different from the past several years, or maybe your entire life, then get a coach. Here are some benefits of having a coach:

1. You will likely see rapid results. Much faster than if you do it on your own. The process is completely dependent on YOU! If you do what the coach says, then the results will come together that you want.
2. You will improve your communication and personal skills.
3. If you want, you can develop leadership and management qualities.
4. You can reinforce your own study skills and knowledge of your subjects.
5. You will see improved confidence and motivation. Increased confidence leads to motivation to do more.
6. Having a different perspective can improve your results.
7. You’ll have someone “safe” to vent to. I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve used Reggie for this. Sometimes you need to just get that feeling out. But shouting it out on Facebook isn’t safe or effective.
8. You will work with someone you trust.
9. You will expand your network. I met Danielle through Reggie. Along with MANY others.
10. Your coach will have resources that you don’t have. And you benefit from that.
11. A gentle nudge, or sometimes a swift kick in the backside. Sometimes, we need to be “reminded” that we know better. And this is something that Reggie has done with me many times. And I always appreciate it. He only has my best intentions at heart. Danielle and I were talking, and she told me this (and I couldn’t agree more wholeheartedly!): “Reggie is the most incredible and kind human I’ve ever met. He’s brilliant. He has the gift of vision and can see strengths and weaknesses in people. He is honest. I trust Reggie and love him dearly.”
12. My favorite reason is this: LONG-LASTING RELATIONSHIP. I’ve told Reggie many times that I’m not letting go of him. This is a long-lasting relationship. He’s been in my life for going on 7 years now. And as time goes on: this will only get stronger.

Do you want Reggie as a coach? If you work with me: you also get the benefit of Reggie. Very literally. For more information, comment below or look me up on Facebook.

I also suggest you look at Danielle’s website. Here’s the link: True Boundaries. And if your able, please give.

Giving Birth to What You Want!

Giving Birth to What You Want!

I’m a mom. And have gone through several births. Five to be exact. Giving birth to what I want has been harder than giving birth to the 5 children. The first my parents adopted. But the rest I’ve raised and now are ages 16 to 23. But over the summer I watched a series by a pastor that I respect on tv. His name is Pastor George Pearson. He taught what I’m going to teach on from the end of June through the end of July. Today’s teaching is on the “The Birth of Bulldog Faith” and he taught this on June 23, 2019.

When we are in a battle, there are always 2 sides. In this battle, we have God’s side. And the Devil’s side. Each has a game plan. Pastor George said: “The devil’s game plan is to drain, weaken and wear down our faith through continual pressure, disappointments and discouragement.” And also “He wants us to back down from using our faith to take a strong stand for what belongs to us.” If you live in a constant state of retreat, you will never have the life that God wants you to have. So, it’s time to get aggressive!

This is a battle we all face! I have! Every leader I have has as well. But! For those who become aggressive and have bulldog faith, then you will have the life you want and that God’s desires you to have. I’ve gone through some major battles in my own life. Here are some from the past 10 years alone!
1. Became so sick that I wanted to die.
2. Emotionally abused by people I care about.
3. Been told that I wasn’t strong enough emotionally or physically to get what I want.
4. Been told to quit and settle for life as it is.
5. I was hit by car in 2016, during my 1st semester back in college.
6. I fell off a ladder and suffered a major concussion from it in 2018. It took me getting bulldog faith to beat it! Stress was a HUGE part of what slowed down my recovery.
7. I’ve been homeless, living in a hotel with my husband and 2 out of 4 of the kids. Two of the kids were in a training program with Job Corp.
8. I’ve been fired from 2 jobs since 2016.

This is just a few of the battles I’ve faced! And gotten through. Luke 22: 31-32, King James Version, says “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” This was said right before Jesus was crucified. Jesus knew that Simon (also known as Peter) would be shaken and his faith would be weak. But, He also knew that Simon Peter’s faith would come back. This happens with all of us. It’s happened with me too many times to count.

I’ve got something for you to think about. I’m taking this from notes from Pastor George. In a football game, or basketball game, or whatever during halftime, the coach goes into the locker room with the team. Sometimes he will get after them for not doing there best. Here’s what I want you to consider. Is your attitude keeping you from God’s best? Are you allowing the devil to beat you down? Answer these questions right now. I’ll wait.

* Are you maintaining or pursuing?
* Are you dry docked or launching out into the deep?
* Are you holding the fort or taking new ground?
* Are you settled into the status quo or reaching up to the next plateau?
* Are you throwing in the towel or going in for the next round?
* Are you waiting for the next attack or launching your own preemptive strike?
* Are you reactive or proactive?
* Are you passive or pressing?
* Are you surviving or thriving?
* Are you circling the wagons or leading the charge?
* Are you putting out fires or starting them?
* Are you behind the eight ball or are you staying ahead of the curve?
* Are you chasing after your dreams or are you letting them slip?
* Are you protecting what little you have or are you aggressively possessing all that is rightfully yours?

Well, what are you choosing? Are you going to quit? Or are you going to Bulldog up and fight for what’s yours? And in the process of it: WIN?!
Here’s what I want for you from Pastor George:
“* I want you to get more aggressive about taking what is rightfully yours in Christ.
* I want you to get more aggressive about exercising your faith to lay hold of and possess new territory. * I want you to aggressively reach out with your faith and take what you need–command it to come. Demand it!
* See yourself as part of a mighty, stalwart, aggressive, pursuing, overtaking, fearless relentless army.
* I want you to get more aggressive about your faith.”
Here are some passages from the bible that will help encourage you. 1 Samuel 30:6,8 David encouraged himself in the Lord. And David inquired at the Lord saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
1 John 5:4,5 This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our Bulldog Faith. Verses 4,5 (Amplified version) For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]? Faith, in Greek is PISTIS. Here’s what that means. A force that is forward directed and aggressive. It is never passive, retreating or backward. It is always reaching to obtain a specific target or goal. It is like a bulldog that bites down on a bone and won’t let go. A bulldog just won’t quit. Whatever is going on in our lives, we must bite down on the Word and not let go of it until we see the desired result.”

Take a look at this video of a bulldog that won’t let go. And then, determine that you will pursue this.

Building a Network Marketing Business Offline in Today’s World

Building a Network Marketing Business Offline in Today’s World

One of my favorite parts of network marketing is that you can design your life and that includes how you do your business. There are times I want or need for a season to go off-line. But, how can you achieve this and continue to build your business? It’s easy! And achievable! It comes down to learning 7 skills that anyone can learn. And from there, build an empire.

Eric Worre has a book called “Go Pro, 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional.” These 7 skills are:
1. Finding prospects, this is simply finding people who would be interested in learning these 7 skills.
2. Inviting them to understand what you offer.
3. Presenting this to them.
4. Following up until they say yes or no.
5. Closing. This is where they either become a partner or customer.
6. Get them started.
7. Promote events. Some companies, especially new ones, may not have events yet. In that situation, you use generic events. Eric Worre has one, so does Ray Higdon.

When I was first introduced to network marketing back in 1992, the internet wasn’t around. But yet, people were building. This is still true. You can build by going to the beach, the gym, school, and anywhere you go. It’s all about meeting people and building a relationship with them. Those people you meet could become a prospect. And then you just take them through the next 6 steps.
There are HUGELY successful leaders who have built online. But there are also other people who have built offline.

Don’t limit yourself by thinking that you can’t do this because you want to go offline. It can be done. Just as there are multiple diets that can help you be healthy, there are also multiple ways to build a network marketing business. You just need to find what works for you. And connect with leaders who will help you figure out what that is. And then doing it.

This is why I have Reggie Cochran as my leader. He’s been helping me for years figure out what works for me. And we’ve figured out that going with a combination of offline and online does work best. He has built his business by doing this as well. He builds his business online through Facebook (that’s how we met), but he also does it offline (he was recently in Mexico on the beach.

I invite you to connect with me directly through Facebook and take a look at what I’m doing or posting a comment here. I will respond.
